Shetland Hues

22:45

Happy belated new year to all! As usual life took over so restarting my blog a little later than i wished. These pastel houses in Shetland were far too pretty not to share/spam on all social media accounts. I'm yet to find somebody who doesn't love pastel terraced houses and so they were the perfect backdrop to use for a little OOTD.

Jacket; Zara. Jumper; H&M. Trousers; PLT. Bag; Michael Kors. Shoes; Adidas Originals.
My best advice if you're heading up north is to invest in a cosy, waterproof jacket. And make sure it has a hood! As i discovered locals will laugh at the suggestion of using an umbrella (i know understand why.. its so windy!!) and so a hood is a must. I found this bargain jacket in the Zara sale, and after 21 days of waiting for it to arrive from my online order i decided to just buy it in store.. why had i not done that before.. and will the first jacket ever arrive.. ?! Zara, you tell me.

Prescription Glasses; Michael Kors @ Vision Express.
I've had such a love hate relationship with my glasses, i just prefer contact lenses so much more! But as any contact lense wearer will know it is super nice to give your eyes a break. And so i bit the bullet to invest in the Kendall frames from Michael Kors which i could not love more right now (will probs dislike them tomorrow, then love them again the next day). Although the worst thing with a glasses day is that i can't see to do my make up in the morning, and they steam up going from outside to in... blind issues.

I've been absolutely obsessed with my little backpack, which you can surprisingly fit more in than you think, total Mary Poppins chic. Another item i can't stop wearing is these pleated flares from PLT. They are the dream pair; comfy and versatile, dress up and dress down. What more can you want from a pair of trousers! I've paired them with a ribbed turtle neck from H&M, another super versatile piece for the winter wardrobe.

Below are a few fab places to visit if you happen to find yourself up in Shetland.
